Deutsche Hauptstelle für Suchtfragen e.V.

Die DHS ist an einem fachlichen Austausch mit europäischen Partnerorganisationen interessiert. Sie kooperiert mit Gremien und Dienstellen der EU und der WHO, die mit suchtrelevanten Themen beschäftigt sind sowie mit Vereinen und Verbänden auf internationaler Ebene, die gleiche oder ähnliche Aufgaben wie die DHS übernommen haben. Dabei steht besonders die Entwicklung wirksamer Strategien zur Senkung der durch Alkohol und illegale Drogen verursachten gesundheitlichen und sozialen Folgen im Mittelpunkt.

The German Centre for Addction Issues (DHS), as a main representative of the associations active in addiction treatment in Germany, is cooperating with corresponding organizations in Europe. Further cooperating partners are the World Health Organization (WHO), agencies of the European Union, the International Council on Alcohol and Addiction (ICAA) Lausanne, and Eurocare (Advocacy for the Prevention of Alcohol Related Harm in Europe), Brussels. Developing effective strategies to reduce the harmful consequences of alcohol and illicit drugs are a priority of our work.
